The festival will be located in The Reed College Sports Center (19). The Juggling & Vaudeville Extravaganza is just steps away in Kaul Auditorium (22). Renegade will be in Vollum Lecture Hall (37).
Note the parking lots (P). Festival parking is allowed in any Reed lot, but a lot of the old parking near the sports center has been removed to make way for the new performing arts building. There is no street parking on SE 28th or SE Woodstock, but lots of street parking on Steel St. North of campus. If you are coming in early on Saturday please park as far away as possible in order to leave spots for people coming in for the show.
Sorry, Reed does not allow camping or sleeping in vehicles.
Portland Juggling & Vaudeville Extravaganza
The Portland Juggling & Vaudeville Extravaganza is returning for it’s 20th year and nowhere will you find a more joyous celebration of all things juggling.
Kaul Auditorium, Reed College (map)(parking)
Saturday Sept. 29th at 7:00PM (doors open at 6:30).
Online tickets sales are closed. Tickets are available all day at the festival registration desk in the Reed Sports Center. The box office at Kaul will open at 6PM.
Performers:
-International Juggling Association champion, Tony Pezzo, who is visiting us from the
University of Dance and Circus in Stockholm, Sweden. Tony’s juggling can be at times fast and complex, or slow, focusing on simple images. Mixing high level technique with intricate manipulation, he tends to go against the traditional build up of an act.
-Kyle Johnson, who was named “most inspirational juggler” at both the Humboldt and Damento Juggling Festivals. Kyle is currently focusing on mixing contact juggling, conventional toss juggling, and smooth movement.
-Masterful club manipulation by Declan Mee. Visiting from Berlin, Germany.
- Cate Flaherty delights audiences with an act that so seamlessly combines ancient disciplines (juggling, handbalancing, acrobatics and dance) that it is almost a new discipline in itself.
- Laura Green the Juggling Queen who performs on stages and streets across the USA, Canada, Japan and China. Graceful comedy and massive audience participation silliness are always on the juggling menu!
-The affable Charlie Brown, who is sure to impress with his world famous cigar box juggling and deadpan humor.
-Local funnyman Curt Carlyle who fuses world class juggling skills and fresh, innovative comedy.
-World travelling “juggling sensei,” Matt Hall
-Quick-witted Rhys Thomas who blends physical and verbal humor flawlessly.
-Two-time, three ball juggling world champion, 2012 silver medalist in the IJA stage competition, and all-time “Best Hair” prize winner Thom Wall.
- Sarah Liane Foster
and the enigmatic Luther Bangert!

| Cole Perkinson and Sam Hopkins | Jugglinx: The Tricolor Card Game of 3-Ball Juggling Siteswaps. The game itself is playable by jugglers and non-jugglers alike, but jugglers will have the added pleasure of knowing that whenever they complete a valid chain of cards, it corresponds to a jugglable 3-ball pattern. Players will be awarded a few bonus points and small prizes for being able to juggle the patterns that they create. |
